Introducing Bad Bloggers!

roflbotDebi started it with the blame game. I had way too much fun following along as she laid blame upon everyone who caused her TBR stack to grow…and grow….and grow. Now Deslily is playing the blame game too and I can’t help but jump on the bandwagon. It’s just way too much fun. So I introduce to you BAD BLOGGERS!!! This little game’s goal will be to dole out punishment to everyone who has added book onto my enormous TBR pile. My poor bookshelf weeps every day at the weight that it is forced to hold and now that the TBR bookshelf is full, the poor concrete floor is starting to sag. There will indeed be punishment involved in this game. Every six months, the person who has added the most to my TBR shelf will be forced to accept a book that I’ve reviewed and that they have added to their wishlist and their bookshelf will then in turn have to take on the burden of yet another book.

Bad Bloggers! will coincide with mailbox monday. I figured that was the best way to do this since that’s when I always announce the embarassingly large stack of books that have arrived at my house. I will only count books that I have either bought or mooched, in other words books that I have brought into the house by my own free will. Giveaway wins, ARCs, and generous gifts will not count….there’s no punishment that should be doled out for that. And trust me….there will be some points awarded this Monday! I’ll keep a running tab on the right hand side bar of all of the blame that has been doled.

Don’t forget while I’m here that you still have until midnight tonight to enter my giveaway!

If you get anymore books coming to you in the Monday Mail your postman might just retire!!!

I have a semi-funny, semi-relevant story to share. My great-aunt found out that her next-door-neighbor worked for UPS. So she asked him if he ever made deliveries out my way–she told him she had a niece and she named my neighborhood–he said, Is your niece Becky Laney…and then he spouted out the rest of my address :)

What about ancillary additions? For example: I recently acquired Ender’s Game because of you & Carl, and I now find myself also in possession of Seventh Son and Red Prophet as a direct result. Could I assign blame to you for these as well… ;)

Carl, I’m surprised he hasn’t yet! He likes us though thank God…he makes jokes all the time about the amount of books I get in the mail…When he hands them off, he always says “happy reading!”

Becky, That’s hilarious!! I think you might actually get more books than me in the mail! Although I’m sure that my postman knows my address by heart now too ;)

Bart, Yeah, go ahead…blame me….blame Chris! lol. I promise you you’ll enjoy those though!

Hmmm…I think I can narrow down the winner to two or three people already. Okay, or one. (In the past week, she has been responsible for 3 of the books arriving in my mailbox! And we all know who she is, don’t we?!!) This is going to be soooo fun to watch!

And Becky–that is just too funny!!!

It was time someone did it! I am all for it.

And what kind of punishment we should give them?

  7. 7

    ha ha, that’s great!

I have to say, the postman, UPS, and other mail associates figured out who I was long ago. They come into my work and strike up a conversation… The people at work all love it! I get lots of mail…. Sometimes from three different sources in one day!

I have enjoyed Debi’s blame game and will now enjoy watching you place the blame!

This is gonna be fun :D

That’s so cool that your postman says “Happy Reading!” Mine knows me too, but I don’t think he likes the fact that I make him carry all that weight every week, lol.

lol! I can’t wait to watch, even though I know I won’t be in the running. :D

you know you are over the edge with book deliveries when you open the door for the mailman to hand you “letters” and he says, “ill be back with your books shortly” dohhhhh!

you know you are over the edge with books when: someone says “hooray you won a book” and your first thought is: “hell… where am I going to put it?” heh.

What a great idea this is! I can’t wait to see how many bad bloggers there are!

Debi, This will be a lot of fun…and I know, should I just send Nymeth a book of her choice now? :p

Gautami, I think this is going to be a lot of fun! The punishment shall be that they have to add another book to their pile as well!! Courtesy of me :)

Kailana, Oh I know all about different sources on one day :p I’ve had many days where Fed Ex, USPS, and UPS have all arived at the house with books from different places.

Natasha, I loved Debi’s game so much that I just had to take it :p This is going to be fun!

Nymeth, I don’t think my postman likes it either very much :( That’s so sad that I make him carry all of those packages around. He doesn’t seem to mind too too much though ;)

Eva, What are you talking about?! Of course you’ll be in the running! In fact I’m getting ready to read The Sparrow soon and that one came from you!

Deslily, LOL! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve though “oh shit, I won another damn book!” But like I would turn it away! lol.

Lena, Oh trust me…there will be LOTS of bad bloggers, lol.

Hah this is awesome! But you know, Chris, you will be at the top of my list (sharing first place with Nymeth and Lenore) Honestly the 3 of you review the coolest books :)
